Cold Brew Coffee Ratio. This recipe is scaled down to be more appropriate for home use. The basic formula for cold brew is one pound of ground coffee beans to one gallon of water.
Then follow with the pitted dates and blend until mixed in thoroughly. That is a biiiig difference. The ratio for cold brew is super important.
Simply microwave or heat in a small saucepan, and then dilute with hot water.
Depending on if you’d like to make a concentrate or a light beverage, you’ll have to use more or less coffee, respectively. Cold brew generally uses a higher coffee to water ratio than other methods. We’ve suggested some at the bottom of this article. So if you drink a cup of cold brew concentrate without dissolving it, you will be drinking more caffeine than you would if having a cup of coffee.
